The process can be overwhelming, with so many options, deadlines, and challenges along the way. Who We Are

I’m Miki S., co-founder and CEO of DaoPath Futures. My journey has taken me across China, Japan, and the U.S., giving me firsthand experience with international education and global career development. I spent seven years working for Japan’s top automobile company, then transitioned into auditing at an accounting firm after earning my USCPA license. Later, I moved to the U.S., where I worked as a financial advisor at a world-renowned company. Over the years, I’ve become deeply familiar with college applications, job markets, and career strategies in both Japan and the U.S.

I started this company with two incredible partners:

• One is an American IT senior manager, with an MBA and a background in computer engineering. He knows the U.S. college admissions process inside out and has helped many students successfully navigate their applications.

• The other is an American educator, with a master’s degree in Education and over 30 years of teaching experience in the U.S. She has an in-depth understanding of the U.S. education system and provides expert academic guidance to help students thrive.

Together, we bring a unique mix of expertise—finance, technology, education, and career strategy—to support students on their journey to success.

Why "DaoPath Futures"?

We chose the name DaoPath (道途) because it reflects our core belief:

• “Dao” (道) means the way, the journey, and the right path forward.

• “Path” represents future opportunities and the steps to get there.

We are here to help students and professionals find their path and take the right steps toward success.

How DaoPath Futures Started

This all started as a favor. Friends would ask us for help with college applications in the U.S. and Japan, and we gladly shared our knowledge. Then, more people started reaching out—not just college applicants, but also high school students, summer program candidates, and even professionals looking for job opportunities abroad.

We saw a real need for clear, personalized guidance, and that’s why we built DaoPath Futures—to offer more than just admissions support. We provide end-to-end services, including:
